What is the difference between an update and an upgrade?
An update is an upgrade within the same software version (e.g., from WinPC-NC USB Version 3 to the latest WinPC-NC USB Version 5)
Updates within the same major version are free of charge (e.g., from version 4.0 to version 4.1). Updates across major versions, e.g., from version 3 to version 4, are subject to a fee and can be ordered from our shop.
When updating from a major version to the current major version, it is necessary to specify the hardware number of your module when ordering, e.g., ncUSB, nc100, sc100 CNCCON, or ncNET, as the software is always linked to the hardware.
An upgrade is a replacement to higher-quality software with extended functions (e.g., from WinPC-NC Light to WinPC-NC USB). In the case of an upgrade, we will refund part of the old purchase price if we receive the old hardware in exchange.

WinPC-NC Version 5: More precision, more control, more convenience

The new version 5 of WinPC-NC is available since 20 March 2026 and comes with many new features and improvements.

The Version 4.1 of WinPC-NC is available from July 2021 and comes with many new features and a revised operating concept.

If you would like to update to the latest version, you can order it directly from our shop. Please be sure to include the hardware number of your module when placing your order, as the software is tied to the hardware.

You can download a free update within your main version to keep the software up to date.
Upgrade
We offer upgrades to higher-quality WinPC-NC versions and credit part of the purchase price.
To upgrade, please select your current version and find out the exact procedure and which components will be replaced. All versions are pin-compatible and have the same connection, and no further conversion work is necessary.
